Notes for APAcalypse cover issue T-67, The Dating Game.
I had a lot of ideas for this cover but since time was a constraint I decided on simplicity being the order of the day. My original idea was to have a princess in the foreground applauding, obviously very pleased with the idea of finding her prince, and having a human and a rat-man in the background being cowed by a huge dragon. I decided to keep the historical part of my original idea and show the dating game through history. The woman is an Egyptian hieroglyph; bachelor #1 is the outline of a man from a primitive society; bachelor #2 is an aboriginal depiction of a chief and bachelor #3 is the outline of a modern soldier. Who will she pick? Corel Draw 8 was used to put the cover together in about 15 minutes.
